Verona University Hospital WHO
Collaborating Centre for Sexual Health and vulnerable populations. (WHOCCS HVP)
ABOUT
Building on a longstanding collaboration with the UNDP/UNFPA/UNICEF/WHO/World Bank Special Programme of Research, Development, and Research Training in Human Reproduction (HRP) across diverse projects, the Verona University Hospital, specifically its Infectious Diseases Department's Epidemiology Unit, received recognition in 2022 as a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre (WHO CC) specializing in Sexual Health and Vulnerable Populations (SHVP). This centre operates within the broader framework of the Infectious Diseases Centre for Translational Research and is affiliated with the Centro Multidisciplinare per le Infezioni Sessualmente Trasmesse (MISTRA), a comprehensive clinic dedicated to screening and treating sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
In addition to these affiliations, the center actively collaborates with the UNDP/UNFPA/UNICEF/WHO/World Bank Special Programme of Research, Development, and
